This self-service policy guarantees that only you have access to your personal items, giving you complete peace of mind during your cardio or strength training sessions. It also eliminates the need for complex digital lock systems or the hassle of keeping track of a gym-issued key while you are trying to exercise.

If you happen to forget your lock on a given day, there is no need to panic. High-quality, reliable padlocks are always available for purchase at the front desk, ensuring your belongings are never left unprotected.

Daily Use Only Policy

Our lockers are strictly designated for daily use only, meaning all personal belongings and locks must be removed at the end of your workout session. Leaving items overnight is prohibited, as our overnight staff must thoroughly clean and sanitize the interiors of the lockers to maintain our high hygiene standards.

Any locks left on lockers after the club closes (or past a 24-hour period for our 24/7 locations) may be clipped by management, and the contents will be placed in our secure lost and found bin. This policy is essential for ensuring that every member has a fair opportunity to utilize a locker during peak operating hours.

By enforcing a daily use policy, we prevent the lockers from becoming permanent personal storage units, keeping the changing facilities spacious, organized, and available for the hundreds of members who visit our clubs daily.

Choosing the Right Locker Size

We offer a variety of locker sizes to accommodate different needs, ranging from half-size lockers perfect for a standard gym bag and shoes, to full-length lockers designed to hold winter coats, business suits, and larger duffel bags without wrinkling your professional attire.

During your visit, you are free to select any available locker that suits your needs. We recommend arriving slightly before peak hours if you require a full-length locker, as they tend to be highly utilized by members heading straight to the office after their morning workout routines.

All lockers feature built-in ventilation slats to ensure proper airflow, preventing odors from accumulating and keeping your stored clothing fresh while you sweat it out on the gym floor.

Valuables and Security Recommendations

While our changing facilities are closely monitored by staff and situated in secure areas of the club, we always advise members to leave high-value items, such as expensive jewelry, large amounts of cash, or irreplaceable electronics, at home or locked securely out of sight in your vehicle.

A padlock provides an excellent deterrent against theft, but the best security measure is simply minimizing the valuables you bring into the club. Planet Fitness is not liable for lost or stolen items, so practicing common-sense security is the best way to protect your property.

Bring Your Own Toiletries

This ensures you can use the specific products that work best for your body.

We also ask that members bring their own clean bath towels, as towel service is generally not provided at Planet Fitness locations in order to keep our membership prices incredibly affordable for everyone.

Many members find it convenient to keep a dedicated "shower kit" in their gym bag, containing travel-sized bottles of their favorite products, a pair of shower sandals, and a microfiber towel that dries quickly and takes up minimal space.
